Calling A Name

You and I are different
We enjoy each other
We live together
Making fun of how different we are
To make fun is good
We are good to each other
They come
And tell us that
Poking fun at differences is
Insensitive
Inappropriate
Racist or sexist
In short
Bad
They label is “bad”
People doing bad things are bad people
Here we are now
Making fun is no longer
Fun and good
But
Mean and bad
Angry labelers pointing their fat fingers
Label us as bad
And before you know it
Before I know it
Here we are pointing fingers at each other
Mean
Bad
Mad.
